"A family that eats together, stays together"

I'm really glad that my family has finally decided to get a helper cause not only does the houseworks get done, we also get to have dinner every night! Gone were the days where I'm always home and would head straight into my room. I love home cooked meals best and having dinner with my family seated together even though we hardly exchange conversations. & now that my brother is extremely busy with work, having dinner with all of us together is also something that's hard to come by. 

I just hope that some issues could just be taken with a pinch of salt and seen with what's currently been done instead of the end result. 

Edit: Sigh, my happiness really is short-lived. I woke up this morning to hear that my maid has already made up her mind to terminate her contract come Jan 2014 when her contract ends at Dec 2014?!!

I'll have to draft up a breach of contract terms pronto!! HELP! 

Chicken thighs, potatoes & home made teriyaki sauce!

Was supposed to cook chicken chops for lunch today but I wasn't able to find any boneless chicken thighs from NTUC today as all of their chicken thighs comes with their bones attached, so I went to separate the meat from the bones on my own.

Hence this is what I cooked today! :)

I also made teriyaki sauce but I didn't really follow the recipe hence the texture of the sauce turned out more towards like soy sauce instead of the sticky & thick teriyaki sauce. Shall boil the sake (i substituted rice wine to sake) first instead of combining all the sauce ingredients together next time!

& guess what... I realized I'd forgotten to cook broccoli! Unhealthy dish but only for today k!

It's my first time cooking this dish & eating potatoes with it's skin on too! I think I like it this way better now all thanks to BunnyBoi's recommendation! I'm glad he enjoyed lunch today! Yay! :)

The joy of love & giving

I just saw my friend's post on Instagram saying that she had to travel and spend more money and time just to get to where she's volunteering at, and reading her mention that it was an old lady who was all alone & had a dog who wanted to return home after 5 minutes of dog-walking as its worried for its owner.

It's very inspirational and reading it has further motivated me to break out of my hesitation that I've been having for years now..

I really should get going, cause its what I wanted all along, isn't it?

Amber's ORD + dinner @ Coastal Settlement

Attended Amber's commando's ORD parade yesterday and I didn't take any pictures, hence all of these are from Amber's camera!

After which, we waited for him to finish packing his stuffs & we headed off to Coastal Settlement for dinner.







We also ordered portebello mushrooms, calamari rings, and truffle fries as our sides and waited close to an hour before our pizzas were served as they've forgotten to key in our pizza order.





It was a great time catching up with them as I got to know more news & gossips of our own people. Haha!

Hello!

I've been thinking of blogging for a really long time but I haven't gotten a real 'push' to do so. I've been reading many foodie posts, reviews and travels etc, and would love to share mine as well!

This blog will be mainly for all of these as well as trips & dates with BunnyBoi ^^. Hopefully in future we would be able to look back on these posts to see how far we've come. :')

I'm gonna do a post on our 1st year anniversary @ Hotel Re! soon. I can't wait!!
