I stumbled across some random bloggers stating that the Baking Powder range & Wonder Pore Freshner from Etude House is pretty good and affordable hence I've decided to give it a try to further improve on my facial condition! I have very sensitive skin and oily at the T-zone but dry on other areas.
Hence I've decided to swing by Parkway Parade during lunch and got myself these!
From top left: AC Clinic Daily Gel Lotion S$20.90 for 150ml, Wonder Pore Freshner S$16.90 for 250ml, Baking Powder Cleansing Foam Moist S$16.90 for 150ml.
On top of that, the kind salesgirl gave me some samples too! Magic bubble O2 water peeling pack, I'm Blooming special care kit, 1x Pearl Extract Mask and 2x Correct & Care (CC) cream!
I immediately used the main products during & after shower respectively and here's my verdict! (In order of use)
It says on the back that "baking powder is able to penetrate & cleanse deep within pores to remove makeup & residues. Maintains rich, smooth lather for moist sensation."
It smells very acid-y! Very, very strong and sour smell of lime and a point to note is.... Don't squeeze your normal pea-size amount out! I squeezed my normal pea-size and had a hard time getting the right consistency for the soap to be spread out. Shall half the amount and see how again tmr!
I didn't have much trouble washing it off, and I can feel like my face has brightened up a little (due to the thick coverage haha), though pores are still visibly seen. & it feels smooooth!! I didn't have any tingly sensation too! So yay! Oh and it's also cause I've read that for those with sensitive & dry skin like me, it's recommended to get the moist one instead of the normal or BB cream wash as shown below, and I've also included mine (the one in pink) to show the whole family of baking powder wash series for your reference :)
Next, would be the toner to see if the cleansing foam really did remove my sunblock and concealer. I don't use makeup because my skin doesn't adapt to it well and will break out easily.

I hope you're able to zoom into the 7 descriptions that they've claimed. However, I'm just gonna touch on some as I couldn't see the results on my first use.
I couldn't make out what the smell was. It smells fruity but towards the low-scent kind. It smelt like melon, but not really.....
My pores weren't minimized as its the first use today, however I'm kinda concerned now as all the reviewers claimed that its good, but I DID get tingly sensation when I wiped my face using a cotton pad. Initially i thought maybe i wiped it too fast/hard, hence I slowed down again.. But the tingling sensation appeared again around my cheeks area. Or could it be its cause my pores are around my cheeks hence they are trying to go deep into it? Am I the only one here who felt this way?
Good news though, it didn't last long, only during the time when I applied it! It could also be as I have sensitive skin. It varies among individuals. :)
Lastly, the lotion!
3. AC Clinic Daily Gel Lotion S$20.90 for 150ml.
This wasn't in my shopping list this noon, but I like to browse around the shelves if there are other options for me to try. And as this was voted by the Cosmopolitan magazine & also AC Clinic targets acne problems, I've decided to give it a shot!
I figured it smells like mint and those kind of aroma-therapy oils?
It comes with a glass bottle and its kinda hard to pour the liquid out as I was afraid it may be too much, & I'll probably have a harder time when the liquid is running low!
I applied it onto my palm directly and pressed it onto my face for a few seconds after the toner application. My face felt kinda red after but it's not painful at all.
As I'm typing these down, I can still smell the mints as the scent slowly fades off after 20mins+ & my face certainly felt smoother and bouncy when I pressed my finger against my cheek!
All in all, it's a great buy so far as the prices are really reasonable! I hope my face doesn't break out so quickly else my money is going down the drain!
